Structural Monitoring of
Racing Yachts

NEURON

Neuron is the multidimensional structural health monitoring system designed for racing yachts. Neuron is a turn-key system from the sensor to visualization app, featuring local high performance redundant data acquisition, extream resolution, transformed in clear information.

Smart Skin Sensor

The heart of the system: a next generation strain sensor made of composite materials and embedded carbon nanotubes and fibers. A thin laminate perfectly crash and water proof. Multidirectional sensors are fully customizabale on requst. Further sensors are in thegrated in the onboard PCB.

Mini PC and APP

The Mini PC to be installed on board of the yacht includes a powerfull data acquisition software and a well structured user interface for in-deep data analysis. The APP linked to the Mini PC gives fully customizable on-a-glance information.

Booster mode

The system allows for data acquisition on a booster frequence at up to 80 Hz. The booster mode trigger can be set easily by the user in any moment. This allows for high data resolution in the moments that really count.
