A sailing yacht produced by one of the world’s most prestigious shipyards, the Finnish firm Nautor.
A complex mast structure, resting on the deck and supported by an internal strut to transfer stresses to the keel, triggered a series of problems that were not easy to resolve.
To accurately measure the loads on the mast, rigging and deck, we were therefore asked to provide a kit comprising numerous sensors, structural adhesives and data acquisition electronics: the tests were carried out successfully and the problem was brought under control.
